Timothy Arnwine, the President of PAS Media, Inc., a Pembroke Pines based Film and Television Production Company, announced today they have secured the financing for the creation of Atlantic Film Studios, a major film studio complex and entertainment center to be located in Davie, Florida. Timothy Arnwine also disclosed Atlantic Film Studios will be a 110-acre, $500 Million Dollar distribution, production, and entertainment center which is planned for ground-breaking in the next 15 months. PAS Media, Inc. and Atlantic Film Studios plan to start film distribution in the coming months. One of the goals of Atlantic Film Studios is to increase the film incentives in the State of Florida, as well as make South Florida known as a “major player” in the production industry. Atlantic Film Studios once completed in late 2012 or early 2013, will create approximately 10,000 to 15,000 jobs for the local area as well as bring a much needed economic impact to the area. Atlantic Film Studios plans to begin hiring personnel in the near future but the main infusion of employment will be during construction, then again upon completion of Atlantic Film Studios. Bill Metz, the Senior Executive Vice-President of PAS Media, Inc., will be overseeing the planning and development phase of Atlantic Film Studios along with Timothy Arnwine. Bill Metz is quoted as saying, “I am a native South Floridian, a production facility of this magnitude has been needed for the area for a long time. I am happy to be a part of making history in the industry for South Florida.” PAS Media, Inc. and Atlantic Film Studios are going to begin working on some corporate partnerships to add to the infrastructure of Atlantic Film Studios with hotels, retail, restaurants, and much more.
